Why I paint

A long answer
to a short question.

Hi, I'm Gideon, and I'm so glad you're here. I started painting in 8th grade, just a random kid exploring with a brush and a lot of curiosity, and friends who told me to keep going before anyone else was paying attention. Over seven years that turned into murals, portraits, digital work, commissions. I tried everything and kept what felt honest.

In 2023, someone asked if I could paint live at their wedding. I had never done it before. I said yes, prepared as much as I could, showed up, and barely finished in time. When the couple turned around and saw the canvas for the first time, that moment completely changed what I thought art could do.

It didn't just decorate their day. It held something a photograph never could.

That's when I realised my work could truly move people, and that feeling has never left me. Since then I've painted at weddings, receptions, birthdays, private ceremonies, and events across 20+ places in Nepal. Every room has its own energy, its own light, its own story unfolding. I try to get all of it onto the canvas.

I work with acrylics during live events because they dry fast enough that I can't overthink. That constraint is a gift, it keeps the painting alive and in the moment, just like the celebration happening around me.

If you're looking for something personal, something painted with real care while your people are still in the room, I'd genuinely love to be part of your day. Can't wait to meet you.

Behind the scenes

A bit of studio life.

Brushes I’ll never throw out, paint tubes I should. The chaos, always.
